Rebecca Chappelear is a photographic and digital-media artist whose work explores themes of duality and memory.

She holds a BFA in Photography & Computer Imagery from Shepherd University’s Department of Contemporary Art and an MFA in Photography & Integrated Media from Lesley University’s College of Art and Design.

Her work has been exhibited in her home state of Virginia as well as in Washington, DC, Maryland, West Virginia, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, and online.

Rebecca is an instructor of digital photography and studio art with the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Department of Art & Art History and is a founding member of the Women’s Caucus for Art, Carolina’s Chapter.

She lives in Wilmington, North Carolina and, taking full advantage of that fact, can often be found alongside her partner, toddler, and dog at Wrightsville beach.
